Thanks for the note...life has been really busy....but I have been following your endeavors with great interest....keep up the good work. I've been doing alot of concerts and music is going well with house party requests...repeat show requests...and new bookings...CD sales have been real good. I've been offered a Independant lable deal through Tate Music group....but you know what that usually means....spend money and we'll see what we can do for you. Right now I'm laid up with a knee injury from my day job as a firefighter....and looking forward to surgery next week. I just want to say thank you, yet again , for all that you're doing and all that you're trying to accomplish. Don't think for a second that it's not working! Yeah, you bit off a pretty bit bite, but you have the passion to do this and do this right!! I have a song that I wrote after 9-11, in support of the troops, to give them confidence and strength....and there's a line that says, "....when the heart is pure, the hands they cannot fail..." I feel this very much applies to your work as well. this is definatly a great idea, a challenge im sure. anything that is connected with the mass population will eventually end up a product targeting the best potential for profit. another problem with this is not only the fans but the musicians like me as well. Ive been in a band for years ( a few ) but ive noticed since things have been getting worse in the music industry its causing musicians to become more salesman than musicians. i dont know how many times ive seen amazing bands break up because they just dont go anywhere. well good luck guys.

There's a huge pool of talent that's being completely overlooked, mostly because it's not flashy or offensive. It's difficult for artists like myself to keep hoping for a break, because I'm the opposite of flashy and offensive, and I intend to stay that way. It really helps to know I'm not alone in my quest. So me and the boys appreciate you finding us. We all think that more people need to do what you are doing and get exposier to all those thousands of bands out there still writting pure and original music. The state of the music industry is at a stand still,....they have found what makes the most money and really have no desire to take a risk on signing talent that are drastic and original. They have not programmed their consumers to take well to things that are different. So with that being said we applaude you with your magazine and hope that you can pave the way for musicians like us to reach more people. Thanx.
